RIDE FOR M.C.
“Found pet” signs are probably my favourite things that exist in the world. Welcome home, Cracker the dog or cat or ferret or cockatiel or iguana or gecko or human child or whatever you are. Don’t ever leave home again; someone was worried sick about you.

Assuming I can get them repaired, crated, and moved in time, two older works of mine are going to be in a show called Saves Nine, curated by Kerri-Lynn Reeves and organized by the Manitoba Craft Council, this August. Blanket, to Blanket is a crocheted afghan covered in chalk ground (traditional gesso made from rabbit skin glue and marble dust), and Blanket (both 2007) is a life-size, hand-drawn stitch diagram.
Little-known fact that I tell everyone: I almost went to grad school for fibre arts in Montreal. That would have been weird.
Hoping to flatten some drawings in time for the show next month.
